Very few people suggest that women are taking power, but rather that, in some limited areas, false accusations and positive discrimination are leading to an unfair level of discrimination against men. This is bad for a number of reasons, most significantly that men (who are still more powerful than women) will react badly and attempt to prevent more legitimate moves towards equality.
