I don’t even think you’re trying to understand, so I’ll spell it out just once more. When all funding comes directly from the taxpayer, that is single payer. So Medicare and Medicaid are single payer, although the majority of the US doesn’t have a single payer system. Medicare and Medicaid, along with the NHS and Canada’s model, are all single payer, each with a level of private involvement in delivering the service. That really isn’t too complex.
